Hi' I'm Mick Barnes.
The purpose of these pages is to try and find old mates from my RAF
Police days. So if you served in the RAF Police you may find a
mention. If you see yourself in any of the photographs on these
pages or find yourself mentioned please feel free to contact me. If
you recognise someone, or a name, let me know. Or if you are in
contact with them get them to take a look at the pages. Apologies to
anyone that remembers me, that I don't mention by name. The old
memory isn't what it used to be. Apart form the RAF Stations
mentioned I also served at RAF Coningsby 1970-71 and Thorney Island
1974. I left the RAF Police in 1977 and went into the Hampshire Police. |

Old mates from Cottesmore were Cpl's Des Dunn (best man at my
wedding in 70), Jim Keating, Bob 'Bunny' Warren, and Pat Turner, a couple of
SNCO's Sgt's Jack 'Bronco' Lane and Reg Rushden (where's me parachute
lads). |

RAF Northolt 1975-77 |
|
1975 to 1977 and demob into Hampshire Police serving at
Basingstoke and as rural beat officer for Pamber Heath, Silchester, Little
London, Mortimer West End.
Below is a picture of myself with Tony Medcraft and HS125's.
Other friends here were John Dicker, John Fox, Al Knowler, Mick
Ward and my neighbour Doug Stott and his wife Joan.
